Lone Star Redevelopment Community Listening Session

You’re invited to join us for a community conversation about the future of the Lone Star site.
The Lone Star site is a historic place that sits right in the middle of several historic and
dynamic neighborhoods. As Southstar (the new ownership group) and the design team
begin thinking about what could come next, we want to start the way we believe every
project should — by listening to the people who live and work here.
This gathering is a chance to meet the team and share your thoughts about the future of
the site. We’ll talk together about:
What you hope to see at the Lone Star site as additive to your neighborhood.
What would feel like a good fit — and what wouldn’t.
How the site might help connect surrounding neighborhoods.
Stories, memories, or history that could help shape what comes next.
This is just the first step in an ongoing conversation. We’ll continue to check in with the
community as ideas develop, but listening comes first.
We hope you’ll come by, share your perspective, and help us think about what the future of
the Lone Star site could be.
If you can’t make it but would still like to share ideas, we’ll also be sharing ways to
participate online.

Lavaca Stakeholder Public Meeting (Project Marvel)
Stakeholder meeting with the Lavaca Neighborhood on the Sports & Entertainment District.

Public Meeting - SAWS Sewer Main Replacement Project 3 (S. Presa)
Join SAWS for a public meeting about the 2023 Sewer Main Replacement. To be discussed at the meeting:

Traffic impact
This project will install approximately 2,820 feet of sewer main along S. Presa St., Vitra St., and S. St. Mary's St. Construction is expected to begin November 2025 and be completed by December 2026. As this project is part of an overall package with multiple construction sites, construction start and duration in your immediate area will vary. While this construction is being carried out by an independent contractor, SAWS inspectors regularly visit the site to ensure progress and compliance with all regulations and codes.
